Our “Restoration Public Housing” is a community, for the people who were forced to leave their hometowns by the explosion of Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant.
The design aim is “a community where people feel peace and comfort”.
It shall not be made of housing like a concrete box and plain asphalt surface.
All the homes are detached single family or duplex, having a small yard for each, and “Common” as a shared community place with rich green.
By preparing such physical environment, we also hope that the tie residents have raised through the life in temporary housing will be better sustained.
This is a people oriented community.
For that purpose, we have prepared the following guidelines and handout.
- Block and Housing Design Guidelines for the Restoration Public Housing in Fukushima.
- Heartwarming Community : For the Residents of the Restoration Public Housing in Fukushima.
We sincerely wish that respect for life and tie with local community will be restored, and people have heartwarming life in a Restoration Public Housing in Fukushima.
